hey guys,

i did check over the how-to's and i couldnt find anything in the posts so i'm posing my problem here........

i have installed the front springs and we have put the car back down on its tires...but, when we try to re-tighten strut from the engine bay, the "strut shaft"??? keeps turning

if i'm not mistaken, you cant really put anything on it for fear of damage, and allen wrench/wrench combo tightens it but not enough to prevent suspension noise

help!?!?!?!?

On top of the strut there is the master bolt, which you are trying to tighten.

Inside of that bolt is a star shaped socket (whatever they are called)

You need to get a screw driver into that socket and hold it in place while tightening the master bolt. This way the whole shaft will not spin.

Questions?

had the same problem when i did mine. you have to jack it back up just high enough so u can fit your hand in the wheel well. then lift the dust boot up and hold the shaft while someone tightens it....
