If you remember, I posted up a thread a lil while ago about having some crazy noise scare the crap out of me every time i go over a bump.

Well, turns out, its due to my epic eibach fail.

Crapppp, this is the second time that has happend to someone, the guy just got in contact with eibach and they sent him 2 replacements. It also looks like this is only happening to the fronts. Man this is scary, i gotta check mines out since every time i go over a bump i hear that same clunking sound :(

Just for reference, the noise that I am refering to wasnt the "pop" noise from when you first install the springs and you didnt seat them properly and turned your wheel. No, this noise was more of a ringing the dinner bell "clang". It actually sounds like when you slam a couple of 45 lb plates together on a bench pressing bar at the gym, or maybe hitting a steel bulkead of a ship with a hammer.

You know, that noise that you KNOW isnt a good thing.

I've had them on for a lil over a year. I think i got them from stillen during group buy time.

Don't think this is a big problem for Eibach springs. I'm still waiting for Eibach to call me back, and I'll get this worked out.

If I don't get a satisfactory response from eibach, i'll just have to get the BC racing coilovers (and bite the 1k bullet  )

I remember reading this thread a few weeks ago. I think this user bought from Stillen and they are the ones that actually replaced them (through Eibach Im sure). Either way this is not good, dangerous at best. Good luck man.

I called up Eibach first, and they got back to me today. They asked for pictures of the spring in its broken state, and the part number on the spring (likely to trace it back to the material properties of the lot it was made with).

Once i send them the pictures, along with a proof of purchase, they will send me out two new front springs!

Great way for Eibach to step up to the plate here. I'm pleased.

That's great to hear. I'm glad they are taking care of you. This is the second time, and they are both something that I've never seen before.
