Hi fellows.

Recently bought a HKS Hi-Power exhaust, great upgrade. however, I notice it's probably about the time to replace those worn and stretched exhaust bushings? So here is the question.

Can anyone point out what brands or where to get those?I search the websites, it seems either Cusco or Energy Suspension might have those. But all of those are not for Nissan240 SX :^(

Anyways, any input is appriciated.

Thanks

you mean the rubber parts that the hangers are hanging off of? Those are meant to deaden vibration to the chassis from the exhaust. You'll want something that doesnt like to resonate aka rubber and the stock ones work fine. Otherwise I've no clue as to these exhaust bushings you're referring to.

Well, I totally agree with your point.Somehow, the reason why I want to replace those worn bushings is I'd like my exhaust sits a bit higher so it won't hit the ground that often. My car is lowered......

Thank you anyways.

oh ok. well what you could do have the hangers on your exhaust cut and re-welded back together so the hangers aren't too low, but I've a feeling that it'd make the reinstall of your exhaust a total pain in the *** as then the location of the exhaust has been changed. The only way I can really see to get a noticable change in the location of your exhaust is to have the piping bent upwards a bit more and have the hangers cut and rewelded for the best effect, or get an exhaust that has a higher angle upwards.

Well, Thank you again.

However, I guess I will not modify my new HKS Hi-Power exhaust. They are so well made. As a matter of fact, I thought about that too. new and stiffer bushing would do just fine.

Anyone can answer my original questions?

I picked those black rubber exhaust hangers up at my local parts store for 5 dollars a pop. Nick

They are short to begin with. Do you even know what we are talking about?
