No engine in the car but I have one in my Skyline.

Just sitting at idle it hangs between 300-500 degrees Celsius

cruising at part throttle i can go up to around 700 dgrees Celsius

Under full boost on long pulls @ about 12PSI it can swing up as high as 1000 dgrees Celsius.

Get an air fuel meter too, it's better IMO.Ex Temp(good) A/F(better)Both(best)

The Black is probablly the signal. The 2 whites are probabally for the O2 heater. The way to check would be to let the car cool completely down. (let is set overnight) Then hook a voltmeter up to the 2 white wires and turn the igntion to the "on" position (don't start it) When you do that, you should get 12V going through it. One of the white wires should have a stripe of somesort on it. That one will be the positive and the plain white wire will be the negative. That could be wrong, but that's how it usually works.
