If anyone is running a EGT gauge... what is the highest temp you have seen so far with your motor?

I am looking into DP/FP materials, and wanted to use the thinnest possible gauge stainless.

Well, I've found that 1600 F is about as high as any turbo will ever see... so I asked one of my buddies in the materials lab here at Bosch what is the thinnest gauge of 304 stainless I can use at that temp. I will let everyone know what I find out.
