EGRC Solenoide Valve Code P1400 1996 240
I have done my research on this code from the FSM and it seems that unless i have a wiring problem that i have to replace this part. Iv got a bone stock 1996 240 sx, and this code it stoping me from getting my tags. My question is.. is there any other way to get to this peice without taking out the intake man. ? I cant even see the damned thing, i see the bracket its sposed to be on, i can see a vacume line that runs to it, and thats about it. Anyone have experiance with these? The part is between the firewall and the heads on the engine.

well, if they only look you could pull the CEL out of the dash, you could also rewire it into a loop so that the egr thinks its working....maybe that would help

Unfortinitly with OBD2 emmisions tests a code scanner is connected directly to your car, otherwise that might work. The other sugestion is tempting but id be afraid that i would fry somthing in my ECU by doing that. Also its just one peice of the EGR system, if i were to do that in all likely hood id throw another EGR code.. My tags die in a week.. Anyone else got any ideas?
