SO, we have been having some troubles with our '99 Sentra and I was inspecting all the engine parts/tuning it up on my own. I was noticing that ALL of the vacuum lines are all haphazardly going everywhere through the engine, so it looks like the previous owner definitely had to disconnect and re-run them.
Everything looks like it is right according to the diagram under the hood, except one thing. The diagram shows three connections to the throttle body vacuum hookup that is on top of the throttle body.
In my car, there are only 2 devices connected to that hookup, and a third line that is mysteriously capped on the end of one of the three metal vacuum line tubes that go over the throttle body. The missing link is the "EGRC Solenoid Valve." The "EGRC Solenoid Valve" in my car is actually connected to another hookup underneath the throttle body, directly under where the air intake from the air filter box enters the throttle body. I can't see under there to see if it's actually a legit connection...or just a vacuum hose stuck on some screw or something. So, does anyone know if that is the correct spot to hook up the "EGRC Control Valve's" vacuum line to the throttle body?
Thanks in advance,
Dave
