Ok, I just got this 1990 z32 N/A 5 speed, not sure if its a Cali car or not. Drove it for 2 months with no problems and then a code 32 pops up. When I went to check the EGR solenoid and test the valve by sucking on the hose I noticed the vacuum lines are ran differently than any guide ive seen so far. On top of that, one hose on the solenoid is missing. The pictures should help but ill explain what you're looking at. The hose with the red line should be going from intake to the front of the solenoid, but connects to something right there where it disappears, the hose with the blue line is going from the front of the solenoid straight back to the EGR valve, and the purple is just pointing out the empty nipple on the solenoid. Also, this might be unrelated but, after i pulled the hose that went to the valve and sucked on it, (I did hear a faint sound like it was moving but very faint), every time i start it there is a very strong fuel odor. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!! And happy 4th!

It's too early in the morning to follow that, but here is how all the vacuum lines should be routed:

As for the strong fuel odor, that shouldn't have anything to do with the EGR valve. It's only concerned with flowing exhaust gases back into the intake to be burned again. Most people just delete them because trying to change one with the engine in is a royal PITA.

Does the car have any other symptoms (i.e. stumbling, rough idle, etc.) besides the fuel odor?
