You can block if you want. Or you can hook it up to your downpipe. I think alot of people just block theirs off. I blocked mine off and my cel hasnt come on yet

Your car wont overheat from egr being blocked off. At least I dont think. I have had it like that for 3 weeks. I actually cut my egr pipe then went to napa and got a vacuum cap and just capped the cut egr pipe. Other people make or buy a egr block off plate. There is a write up somewhere on how your suppose to do it. There is a way you can do it so that your cel wont come on at all. I think with resistors not sure. You can search "egr" and you can find it. I plan on hooking my egr up to my downpipe that is the reason why I used a vacuum cap.

i don't care if it runs great now, will it cause any problem later?

egr supposed to lower the temp in combustion chamber isn't it?

I thought lower the temp = better?

someone please explain.

buy this-scroll down to the EGR plughttp://www.jgstools.com/turbo/...r6197

I just bought it. Saves you alot of time and hassle. blocks of the egr fitting and alllows you to keep it without taking everything off

Well, what you said about the EGR is true, but you are contaminating the air/fuel charge that is injected into the cylinder. So, with that said. . . you are taking power away from your set-up. I've done aolt to my car and it runs very well for it to have 220,000 miles! Here are some pics of what I did.

There's a plug that nissan makes to cover at least one of the EGR openings... I found it while digging around for EGR removal tips. Dunno if this would be better or not, but here it is... zerothread?id=64522

I'd like to see what that looks like (if it's clean looking or complete poo)
