EGR Valve Removal

I have a 97 se and I'm throwing the egr valve code. I tried taking it off but I could not remove the huge bolt on the back of it. I tried with a 10" cresent from underneath the car and it wasn't happening. Just wanted to know if anybody had any tips.

You could try soaking it in penetrating oil for awhile, and maybe applying heat. Those things are typically rusted on like a bastard.

I used a lot of penetrating oil to get the one off of nsr_hatch's s13.
