Ok, my other thread seems to be getting stale now, so let me start a new one. I'm having trouble with the nut pictured. I sprayed some PB blaster on it and left it most of the day, but it still is very tight. I need to release it. the wrench pictured is as far as I can tell an exact fit at 30mm. My main question is... do I need to push toward the firewall, or pull away from the firewall to loosen it with the wrench???

As always, any help appreciated

Did you get the other fitting (on exhaust) off without issue? For me the upper was easy to remove. I could not get a wrench on the fitting that attaches to the exhaust. I found a short handle crescent wrench (Stanley Brand) at Wal*Mart that would open large enough yet the handle was short enough for me to remove the exhaust side EGR nut.
