found ya !!! If the I has the same engine as my J30 you prolly just need to clean the end that go up into the Intake manifold. Two bolts hold it in , then you pull down just enough to get them clear of the intake then gently pull it out enough to clean the holes out on the Rear side of the pipes. You will need to loosen up the dipstick mount on one side to get at the two bolts.I used a dental pick while holding a vacuum hose near so all the crud would fall into the pipe. Mine were clogged solid.

I had a simlar issue with my 98MaxSE and the EGR was a suvker to get to so I said, screw it I will go to the dealer... I was even getting a check engine light and than it went off 2 days ago.. Somehow I think my ECM said "O **** it, I am not gonna post the SES light anymore cause he is not gonna do anything about it"... lol

Or it unclogged but that is doubtful...

(Also it is 20 degrees over here everyday and I used to be a mechanic but I am not doing that job in this cold.)

I just experienced this as well. I was getting a P0400 and the mechanic said about 3-4 hours to replace the tube but then all of a sudden, the SES light went off. I was wondering if it could be because I am running QT premium but am looking forward to the detailed instructions. I can image that sucking it out would be fairly easy if it is not too much of a job.
