Hey folks,

Anyone know where I can find a new egr tube assembly? This is the tube that connects the exhaust manifold to the egr valve, via the rear of the block. I had to replace the exhaust manifold and unfortunately, the only thing that will not come off is the egr tube. I've looked in ebay, amazon, everyplace online and a few others with no success. If anyone has any info on where to find one or an alternate fix, I'd much appreciate it. I've had this truck since '86 and I'd really like to keep it going for another 25-30 yrs...Thx

I would say either check with the dealer (one in a junk yard would be in rough condition most likely) or leave it off and cap the holes in the manifolds (that's what I did).

So if I do that, what effect will that have on the egr valve/solenoid?

Basically, it'll make it useless. It "may" cause your emissions to be a little worse, it's debatable..
