Can this sensor be check out for failure ? May be like AZ ? If not then can I use a meter and compare ohms to a new ones?

Check the resistance against a new one (if that matters) and clean that junk out.

That appears to mount on the plenum (EGR tube). Thereshould be a gasket for that too. This isnt the sensor butI think there is a sensor to check for this item

I clean the tube and put it all back together . Still had a check engine light code p0305 which proably caused the gunk in the tude first off ?

just cleaning won't do much if you don't clear the codes - unhook the battery cables for a few minutes - about 10? not sure. that might help or get a new egr valve and/or temp switch. pretty spendy though, valve around $115 and switch around $110.

I dont think that the clogging is the proplem for the code being on. I am in the process of changing my headers, and mine looked exactly like yours. Which is funny because I was wondering why in the world it looked like that. However, to get to the point, i didnt have any codes on mine, and my check engine light was not on.
