Ok bought my car as-is I take care of smog. 89 240sx. Replaced the cat, vacuum lines, fixed the exhaust leaks, distributor rotor and cap, plugs, wires, all fluids...pretty much a complete tune up. I cleared the ecu and the CEL 32 came up again..I tested the EGR and it worked. (Used the vacuum test and pushed in the diaphram)....anyways...I looked at my EGR and compared it to my friends...well that sensor isn't even there on mine. Just a bolt to block it off. I had my car pretested when the CEL wasn't on and the guy said my car was running rich. He said to check my 02 sensor or my engine temp sensor...granted he didn't know about my EGR CEL....any thoughts??

nissan got happy with this. Now I know some had the sensor on the EGR itself while others had it on the intake mani. I think 89' has them on the intake mani. my 90' has it on the EGR itself. it's a pain to get off.

oh and by the way our SOHC have a EGR control solenoid valve that was tripen' my CEL
