I started a project nissan with a 93 240sx with blown motor. The original motor did not have a egr selenoid. The new motor has the egr selenoid. I replaced the whole wiring harness but kept the ecu. What kind of problems is this going to cause with emissions????

It had an EGR solonoid. I think maybe you might wanna snap a shot of what part you are talking about exactly. Every 240 ever built had an EGR solonoid.

There are two sensor that are between the head and firewall. The sensor that is closest to the drivers side is the egr selenoid according to my downloaded online service manual. The original motor did not have this sensor. The new one does and i replaced the harness to plug into this sensor. If you are correct and all nissan 240sx's had this sensor, the original ecu will control the selenoid? I will take a pic as soon as I have a chance. Hope my description helps.

The early s13 had one but it was located by the throttle body, the later s13 had the solonoid located where you are describing. The difference was the engine in the cars ka24e 89-90 or the 24de 91-up
