EGR removal thread i cannot find

i remeber there used to be a thread with pictures showing how to remove the EGR valve. ive spent about 20min looking for it and came up short in the search.

anyone saved the url?

also from what i researched there is no mechanical drawbacks to removing the egr on a ka24e correct? because it is not electrically controled.

never mind i was using the wrong string, it is the AIV not the EGR

oh i was just about the say that the egr valve is just blocked off and not necessarily removed.

but removing the AIV is pretty easy.

I just did mine.. its the canister/black box infront of the power brake cylandar.

just remove the 3 bolts connecting it to the side of the strut fender area. (10mm) and un-connect the 4 vaccum hoses, and unplug the valve (electrical), plug the hoses, and its a done deal
