egr port seafoam

i removed the egr valve and cleaned the hell out of it. any suggestions on the rest of it. motors new but the crusty *** intake manifold has 14 yrs of crud in it. i have the feeling spraying seafoam in there is not a good idea. all the glurp will just slide into the intake ports. i figure better to leave it alone but im open to suggestions. its really caked up. i dont like the thought of extra crap getting sucked into the engine.

hopefully at some point in the future i can disassemble the spare and polish it but thats just a pipe dream for now

on that note. might it be a good idea to hose the exhaust ports with seafoam and swab it out while the headers are off?
