Heres a copy of the email i sent to SlidnSideways about his EGR problem:
________________________________
Yeah, I do remember that problem, and it was a son of a biatch. How I finally got it in was to undo all of the bolts that hold the EGR to the intake manifold; the 2 or 3 that are really hard to get to underneath the #4 intake runner. After they were out, I left the whole EGR assembly loose in the the engine compartment roughly where is was when bolted down. I then popped the header in loosely, and the first thing I tried was to screw in the end of the EGR pipe into the header. I used a pair of self-locking plumber's channel lock-type pliers ( 7 in.) and pressed inward very hard while turning slowly on the threaded fitting one quarter turn at a time till the threads finally caught. Screw the fitting in most of the way and put the bolts back in the other side of the EGR connection to the intake manifold. Then you may finish tightening the header connection, tighten up the header bolts on the cylinder head and deal with the exhaust piping. You see, the thing about this fitting is that the threads are so fine you have to have them lined up perfectly. You need to have everything else loosely in place (but not bolted in) to put it back together. Good luck, and please mail me back if you should have any further issues! -Dave M.2BN_S13
