EGR pipe HELP

i just put on an obx header and high flow cat on my 93 hatch and the F***ing egr pipe wont thread back into the hole.....ive heard of ppl doing the nickel thing but i still want the system to work.

so, i read that you can also cut a piece of the pipe off, screw in the thread, then buy a high temp hose and connect the missing piece witht that....anyone know what size hose to get and if this will work?

1 inch outside diameter. .67 inch inside diameter.

I used the hose from aiv. the hose is designed specifically for this.

hacksaw. those i inch by inch plumber pipe cutters would work nice if the egr is intalled in car.

k cool.... i have a hacksaw so should be fine for tomor, its so loud and annoying right now so i wanna get this done with....thanks man.

how is that hoding up? do u notice any leaking and does it effect performance at all?

It's fine. The aiv tube and the egr tube are both connected to exhaust. the aiv tube uses the rubber hose right from the factory so it is fine.

i picked up a set of plumbers pipe cutters from my boss so im gonna use that instead...wanted to do this today but worked all day so now i gotta hope the sun doesnt hide behind the rain clouds tomor.....
