How does a clogged EGR passage on the intake plenum effect how the engine runs? I'm talkng the area from where the EGR valve bolts to the plenum to the hole on the bottom of the plenum just inside where the thottle body mounts?

The hole in the plenum behind the TB on my 94 went from about a 1/8" opening to where I could stick my finger into it after cleaning it all out.

Well if the EGR is clogged it wont work, could decrease fuel mileage, but overall you wont notice much differences... What I like to do is take your TB off and take the EGR valve off (just unbolt the valve from the plenum and then you can slide the EGR valve on its metal pipe out of the way).... THen you can stick a screw driver, clothes hanger, or what have you in there and pick all the carbon out...Then you can use carb cleaner ot get the remains out...

Thanks, I was curious on what it effected, I did what you suggested already, I still have the plenum off as I'm waiting for an overnight delivery of the correct KS harness from Joe.
