EGR passage cleaning?? What to clean?

I have a fairly new EGR valve (replaced 2 yrs ago). I'm being told to clean the EGR passage. What do I clean? Does anyone have a diagram? Or a section in the service manual I could refer to? 1996 Q45........

Anyway, you want to clean your EGR depending on what needs done... Take your EGR valve off the plenum and slide it out of the way.... then look inside and see how clogged it is... If its not too bad, you can just spray carb cleaner... oven cleaner works good too, but you have to be careful rinsing it off with water (dont get too much in the intake)...

Best way to clean the EGR without taking the intake off is to take the TB off... That way youhave access to both sides.....
