i jsut got my nsport kit today, finally. problem so far is what do i do with the egr tube theres no place to put it on the down pipe. thers a place for the 02 sensor and and a place to recirculate the wastegate. i guess i should look for a bung to weld into the down pipe. if thats what i should what size do i need? i dont feel like blocking it off btw

blocking it off is basically effortless. just remove the whole assembly, and then there will be a tiny hole to fill on the intake manifold. You can probably find something around the house to fill it with(I used a closet door knob), and use some JB weld to hold it on there.

Why not just fill it with JB Weld? I mean, you didn't need the closet door knob. I just filled mine, and it is sealed perfectly. If you don't want to remove it, then yes, you will have to find a bung to put in the DP. If you look closely at the manifold, you can actually unscrew the threaded fitting in the stock manifold; maybe you could just use that. Soak it with PB Break Free, then go it with a cresent wrench, or large combo/box end.John

I didn't feel the need to glob on a bunch of JB weld. Mine sealed up perfectly, and I know that it will never crack and break off.

I can't argue with that; you know Murphy's 1st law of modding, "If it's stupid, but works, it isn't stupid."John

I was fortunate in that I had the manifold out of the engine bay, and broken down to work on; but I know how little room there is, and what a strange angle it is at, normally.John

yea, you kind of just have to fit a combination wrench in there.

Anyone remember when the EGR turns on and off? Is there an RPM point or whatnot? I'm asking for emissions reasons, hoping to pass with EGR blocked off, and just leaning out the car with AFC. I'll look in the FSM later on, but for now.... anyone?

IIRC it operates above 2,000 rpm according to the FSM test.
