Is there a way to filter the gas that come from the EGR into the plenum? I have a feeling that the EGR is the a big part why the plenum gets so filthy. I am still at it with the Berryman chem dip (1 gallon) stuff.

Toyota I believe uses a EGR cooler for more efficiency.

Thats part of it, but the majority is the pcv system; thin film of oil that has burned on. I think the only way to get rid of most of the oil is through a catch can, but I dont know if that requires venting to the atmosphere.
