well i thought it was the BTM causing me not to idle but i made sure it was wired correctly...now within this week ive installed the BTM and blocked off the EGR..so i decided to check out my EGR

i removed the whole egr right off the intake manifold and blocked it off at its source with a plate structure gave to me. i left the thing next to the EGR whatever the hell that was. that thing had 2 vacuum ports that used to connect to the EGR so i capped it off with rubber vacuum caps. now i took off the EGR plate to see if anything changed. little changes occured.

so now i put back the EGR plate but i did not bolt it on because i just wanted to see what would happen. now for some reason it actually idled this time! but its jumpy. i went back to look at the EGR plate and it was slightly open making it partially covered and open. now i decided to take off the plate to see what would happen, and then i pulled it off (which was kind of hard because it was sucking the egr plate in so hard) and once i took it off, my idled died immiediatley. so my big guess is that it has something to do with the EGR. did i do something wrong?

The thing next to the EGR valve is the EGRC-BPT valve. You said you capped both of the ports on this valve...but did you plug the actual vacuum line coming from the back of the intake manifold that hooked up to the EGRC BPT valve? If you didn't, then you would def. have a vacuum leak.
