Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and normally don't post in forums unless I can't find it. And if I have posted in the wrong place then I am sorry. But after countless searchs I can't find anything.

So to my question. I have acquired an 89 240sx with a SOHC. The car was said to run but I haven't seen this myself. Now the person that I got it from was pulling things apart and removed alot of the EGR parts (canister and such) and was curious to know if there is a way to bypass the EGR long enough to see if the engine will run before I do a full delete.

Yeah, you could just unplug the EGR solenoid, put a block off plate between it and the intake manifold, and then bolt it all back together.

It'll run fine...
