EGR Blockoff....What To Do With EGR Temp Sensor?

1992 Q45...using a blockoff plate for the EGR, but the EGR Temp Sensor sits right behind where the EGR valve bolts to the plenum.

Do I leave the temp sensor plugged in or what? There are two wires running off of the sensor

You could leave it in, but you might get a check engine light.
You might need to put a resistor in it's place.

If it doesnt throw a code, will it be fine? Will it richen/lean out the AFR's?

Also, if I put a resistor in its place, what size (ohm) do I need?

I think the EGR temp sensor is just to make sure the EGR is working, and the EGR valve is open/closed based on engine temps.

Not sure about the VH, but I've read about people putting a 100K ohm, 1/4 watt resistor for the KA.

I read that the 300zx guys use a 68k resistor, and 240 guys use a 80k resistor. I am just not sure of the values on the Q.

I would assume one would use a resistor with a lower value since it is a thermosistor....reads lower at higher temps and higher at lower temps.

Actually just found the resistance value in the FSM. 85k +/- 8.5k
