EGR and Canister controll solenoid broken....

I bought my 92 240 with the head missing from the motor, and got another motor from a wrecking yard to put in it. The EGR and Canister controll solenoid was missing on the origional motor, and the one on the new motor was crushed when the idiots pulled the motor. Will running with it broken cause any drivability problems?

In case you guys dont know what this is, it is mounted on the back of the head. There are two of them. One is on passenger side of the head, and one on the driver. The one that i am missing is on the passenger side....I can snap a pic of needed.....

could you show some pics, that would be great. my car has the egr control valve solenoid error code on the ecu, still havent had time to look into it yet. im not sure where this solenoid is and what it looks like. ecu code 10-5

Well, if u care about smog emissions (and your CEL) then get it fixed but if u dont, then get a vacuum diagram and plug hoses (as needed) that go to it or else u will get a vacuum leak.

how omuch does this part cost? the control solenoid,.

also, i would reset my ecuand after driving a few minutes, the egr cv solenoid error code comes back, then later on, the knock sensor error code comes up. could it possibly be causing knock or some sort?

new from dealer $84.65, but i couldve probably got it cheaper if i checked the sponsors . if you have your CEL on... your car will probably run pretty crappy....

i recently fixed an *** load of stuff and the last thing was a speed sensor which threw off the CEL. after i fixed it, the light was off and my car ran much better, esp in milage

grad student ? cool. my cousin is attending ucla along with their army rotc program... and my friend just transferred there

ucla to monterey park ?... maybe 30 min, im not sure... havent been down there in a while. but sometimes traffic is hell and it takes my friend an hour to get back
