I have a 92 with a blacktop, got home and when i took the key out of the ignition i noticed that the ebrake light stayed on and i hear a loud buzzing sound. I open the hood and locate the EGI relay buzzing like crazy. It buzzed until it killed the battery and now the car won't start. I searched but other posts don't really show any solutions. Any help is appreciated.

have you tried swapping out the relay? the buzzing sound is just from that relay or anything else?

had a friend familiar with sr swaps take a look at it. he located a wire that was under the fuse box that might have been touching metal so we tape that up really good and also replaced the relay. car started no problems so we suspected it was the exposed wire. next day try to start it and exact same thing happens... won't start... electronics stay on.. relay buzzing. theres a crappy alarm thats installed on the car when i purchased it. might that be the problem?

3 of the fuel pump terminals receive a constant 12v positive and one terminal receives a ground signal from ecu. I'd test the 4 terminals of relay to see what is happening.

black-pink wire- ground only when key is onblack-white -constant 12v +black-yellow-constant 12v+black-white-constant 12v+

i guess there could be a kill switch on one of the wires that is grounding out.
