I was driving down the road like normal then all of a sudden cd player turns off. I've had a alternator go out before and thats what I thought so I tried to get home before the battery died but my car stalled out before i could make it. When I pull over The EGI relay starts buzzing like crazy so I pull it out and when I try to put it back in it starts buzzing again. So I get a jump and plug the egi back in and it doesnt buzz so I figure the relay is buzzing because of low voltage. By the time I get home the rpms fall off as soon as I pull into the driveway and all my guages stay on when I pull the key out. The gas gauge and the temp gauge stay on like the keys on the on position but its not. I'm wondering if the short isnt somewhere under the dash? ANY IDEAS?

your getting back feed ,probably from the altenator. try disconnting the wires on the altenator and see if it all shuts off. The relay buzzing due to low voltage is normal.
