It all started when I got off work driving back home ( s14 1996) and heard this strange bussing sound, while all of a sudden my car stalls out. I trace the noise and see that is coming from the relays in back of the ECU. There are 2 blue relays, the one on the left is the culprit. I check my fuses and see that my EGI fuse is blown. I replace it and it keeps blowing every time. I know I have a short some where, but where do I start. I could use a multi meter, but how is that going to tell me where the problem is coming from, other than check the whole harness by sight.

I am just stuck with this problem for 3 days now. I really cant afford to pay a shop to check it, and fix it, they will kill me with the cost. This car is my ride to work, with out it I am out of a job. This is very frustrating for me, So please does any one know anything I can do?

Yep there is a short somewhere and that relay is pretty important.Umm I would check every wire in the engine bay, pull up the fuse box, and look for any frayed wire, and check all you grounds as well.engine/alternator etc.

Damn, every wire!!!. Well I guess I will have a long day tomorrow. Honestly the wire diagrams are pieces of SH*t. I am having a hard *** time looking for the right wires/fuses. If the fuse box says EGI, why cant they just put EGI fuse in the Diagram. With sh*t like that, now wonder I get confuse. Thanks for the replay.
