soft foam stuff that looks bumpy like a cardboard eggcrate (only soft and mushy) -- alternating hills and valleys in a 3d pattern. usually pink or yellow.

Wow, I'll have to try this eggcrate stuff. The last two-three nights I've had a total of six hours of sleep. Now I just need to find the eggcrate stuff...

I cant stand eggshell covers, as it just feels odd to me.... I cant really discribe it but I feel trapped so to say.

I am allergic to feathered **** so that rules those out as well, and actually decrease any sleeping comfort.

I do however have a 2" thick, memory foam, cover for my bed though :) My mother got it for me otherwise I couldnt have justified the cost, but it works great... It hasnt come off my bed since.

Cant rem if this is the exact one but it looks just like it with the whole 6 zone blah blah... link

About the down sheets. I have one and will say that they are awesome. Just make sure you get one that has the feathers in sections. It'll have stiches going all the way down it. I have one that doesn't and all the feathers get moved to the edges, so the top is paper-thin. Pisses me off...

down comforters are awesome... they are made of the soft feather from underneath birds (down feathers). Oh so soft! My mom made two sleeping bads out of them and they are more comfortable than our beds... in fact my little brother sleeps in one on top of his bed instead of the sheets during winter. :D

eggcrates are also good for re stuffing the seats on a cadillac when the previous owner weighed 700 lbs and drove it 110k , crushes all the foam down like you wouldnt belive , i drove it home sitting in a hole where the seat should be , next day got a twin size one and restuffed it
