When I had my turbine sensor replaced by the Portland (Beaverton) dealer, the tech (trained on 1990 model from day one) mentioned the transmission was 1½-2qts. overfilled by the previous dealer who had performed a BG fluid exchange.
I never checked (bad me) because I never noticed any misbehavior in the 5K mi. I've driven the car with that condition. So what are the effects of over filling? Is this a viable strategy to lessen temperature and wear and extend transmission life?
