Alright, im gonna get some 2in drop springs. Or at least thats the tentative plan...

I was doing some searching, and I know Tech made a post a few weeks ago what that would do, but I for the life of me cant find it.....

I know that its gonna throw camber out of specs, but what im not sure is how far out of specs... I think that im either gonna have to shim the plates or get adjustables, but we'll see how that goes....

At some point in time, Fred had an alignment done. I would assume its fairly recent, but Im not sure. Maybe he'll see this and post up when this alignment was done. I do know that these specs are with the eibachs in place, but whether it was after the upper links were replaced, im not sure.

OK so here are all my alignment specs that I have on this piece of paper that i found in the glovebox. Thank GOD Fred kept some of this stuff There are 2 specs on my alignment sheet, ACTUAL and BEFORE, i posted the ACTUAL value

Front LeftCamber- -.7caster- 5.27Toe- .04

Front RightCamber- -1.28 caster- 5.53Toe- .04

Rear LeftCamber- -2.12

Right RearCamber- -1.74

It seems as if my camber is off enough to explain why the car pulls a little to the right..... My camber is slightly messed up, so ill get that all fixed up...

Anyway, id like to know how much this is going to effect things.

Each inch drop induces ~~ 0.8 degrees more negative camber, so -0.7 oem perfection plus -1.6 [at least] yields - 2.4 or worse.

There is usually enough extra tread on upper link mount bolts/nuts to shim 0.25" which corrects about -0.8 degrees..........obviously bent shock tower components [from road stress] will have more negative camber as will worn out lower arm bushings upper links, etc.

The problem with lowering is the 7" stroke of shocks divided in half ~~3.5" spring sroke control...............trying to get a standard shock to function for long is impossible as just lowering 1" increases shock work by 3.5/2.5=1.40

The shock is working 40% harder over the same bump due to shorter stroke.

2 " drop 3.5/1.5= 2.33 or 133% harder work in just 1.5"..........blow out city in a few months, weeks, days?

I am in with you for a set if you can do it. Needs to be 10%-15% stiffer. Suspension travel is a good thing.

People who want to change OEM suspension geometry just don't get it.

Slaves to lowest common denominatot peer pressure.

The CAMBER numbers were taken from my own personal experience with Eibachs on my and a few other Qs........and from their old web site.

Good luck wth Tokico Blues as I have gone thru 4 sets [none of which leaked for warranty replacement]........just faded to uselessness...........no rebound control.

Everyone's standards for ride control are different

I dont mind a harder ride, I just want to make sure this is going to work decently, and not ruin my shocks. I know that its going to cut life even more, but as little as I drive its hard to think about that..... However, I suppose theres a reason that the eibachs only went to 1.5in.....

I read a post by tech that lists the spring rates for the G50...

Probaly needs anotehr alignment if it pulls now ( didnt pull then)

I was concerned about me right rear camber numbers also.

A drop below the current Eibachs would exascerbate this.

My recommendation: New Blue (cheap)
