Agreed. There is no privacy for more than one person in that place.

Also, the bathroom being all open into the main room makes me cringe. If you ate just a little too much BBQ and you launch off a stinky #2, the whole rest of the room gets the smell.

Somehow I doubt they'd build these as free-standing structures. Probably build them like all the other town-houses. For one, they would blow over when a poodle sneezes next to them and it would just look silly.
You can definitely smell the cultural difference in this thread though...

From the second paragraph of the article about it

"The house (officially an "art installation," because it doesn't meet Polish building code) is slated to fill a crack between a pair of buildings in Warsaw's Wola district."

Side walls are already there. They're building this "one-time only" apartment in the space created by the other structures not having a common wall.

TO CHINA!!!
Ah, yes, I overlooked that. Although, based on my limited experience travelling a tiny amount in the USSR, I suspect that travel even within China is quite restricted for their citizens.

And, if you expect to live in Hong Kong - without having to commute - then ...

Would love to live there from May to October, then back down to the Valley for the winter.

The vinyl siding needs to be replaced though. It's warped.

Another interesting example: http://www.wimp.com/smallhouse/

It is small, but feels larger.

Unless it's surprisingly large inside like Doctor Who's Tardis, no tiny house for me!

The only problem with Montana is the bears. I met an innkeeper in Livingston MT who had a pet bear. He had pictures of his big bear on a leash hanging out in the hotel lobby. The thing looked like it was 8 feet tall.

I wish I had purchased more postcards.
