So my 89 KA with 230k miles burns oil real bad. a. what would the problem be(valves)? b. is there a cheap fix, or am i just stuck doing an engine rebuild? And for an example of how bad my engine burns...i did a oil change about 2 maybe 3 weeks ago and my oil level was a little below the e.

-project for saturday includes pulling out old crappy leaking like a siv radiator and waiting for the arrival of my new koyo allum readiator. Then reviving the 91 escort GT and driving around that damn go-kart for the next week.

its 1 of 2 things...oil seals at the valve..or..rings...ither way its a rebuild..good luck.
