Check out the Edmunds comparision review of the A/C vs the Accord Coupe. They tore the A/C apart. Some things I just don't understand. They stated in one part of the review regarding the brakes

"Of course, things were different when it came to braking performance. The Altima's four-wheel discs and tires were consistently mediocre in this testing, and produced stops that hovered around 135 feet without evidence of fading. The Accord's four-wheel discs and tires produced only one good stop from 60 mph with an effort of 128 feet, and the car's stopping distances grew as the brakes heated and faded noticeably. The third quarter-mile run at more than 100 mph was particularly memorable, as the brake system couldn't generate enough brake pressure to lock the tires sufficiently to even elicit a response from the ABS. Yikes."

Okay so they called the A/C brakes and tires mediocre and then have nerve to give a little "yikes" to the Accord.

Um, it seems that even with the initial higher braking distance of 7 whole feet, the A/C has continuous fade free response, but the Accord only gets "one good stop ". Puhleeze. How biased is that.

I like both cars and I have an 08 A/C 3.5 and an 04 Accord Coupe currently. I don't have an 08 Accord Coupe to compare, but the brakes appear just as weak in the 08 Accord Coupe as they do in my 04 and they have the nerve to call the A/C brakes mediocre. I love the brakes in my A/C.

They also talked about how they got a Friday car in the Altima, well admittedly, there have been problem A/C's on this site and there have been issue free ones as well. My A/C is basically issue free. Over at Temple of VTEC, I have read where people there are having issues with their brand new 08 Accords as well. It happens on all cars.

The manual Accord may have beaten the manual Altima in their test, but I bet our CVT would tear their automatic up.

Well to end my rant, I am sorry they got a poor example of the Coupe and I am sorry they had a write up that was more concerned with puns than pure facts.

I am sorry but this is just bullsh*t!!.. the writer is sooooo biased, big time. Maybe his wife left him for a guy that drives a Coupe or works for nissan and thats why he has a gripe. What an Idiot.. just look at this comment......."The 3.5-liter SOHC V6 in the Accord produces 268 horsepower at 6,200 rpm, while the 3.5-liter DOHC V6 under the Altima's hood is good for 270 hp at 6,000 rpm. Despite the edge in torque output that the Nissan V6's 258 pound-feet has over the Honda's 248 lb-ft, the Accord feels as if it is the twist-meister here."...WHAT AN IDIOT!!! numbers dont lie buddy.

Bah they like the accord coupe better, so what?

I like my coupe, thats not going to change The braking is more than adequate plus I can always upgrade it, and I haven't noticed body roll, but If I get on a track, and its too much to handle, ill upgrade the suspentions. For the slalom, well the turanza EL400 arn't the sporties tires around, so that could explain a lot of the performance loss. And about the interrior space, I haven't had problems and i'm 5'11".

I'm quite happy that in this comparison the accord wins, it just means less Altima coupes on the roads and more exclusivity for me!

I can care less what reviewers write about my car. I know what it is, and I know how I feel every day when I get behind the wheel. That's all that matters. As long as you can live with your car and enjoy it each and every time, that's all that matters. Doesn't matter if its an Altima Coupe, Accord Coupe, or a 1987 Buick.

WTF?!!! 14.7 in the stick shift?!!!! the CVT is supposed to do 14.6 and people have gotten 14.2 with the 6 speed! this guy should never be allowed to drive a stick shift again! people get 14.2 and he's getting 14.7? that's .5 seconds slower... and he's supposed to be testing it and writing a review for people who are interested in buying the car? WOW! maybe the person driving the accord knew how to drive stick half way decent... that review was total BS

When the a/c first came out the reviews of the car were completely different. Go read those reviews and then go back and read this one. Completely different its like they reviewed and completly different car! Oh well.

Most magazines only run a car a few times, and then take the better number and say that is how fast it is. They don't do 15 runs to see the best RPM to launch at. You almost always see better numbers when owners start running their cars themselves. I wouldn't sweat the number too much. Also, i know in drag racing numbers, a half second is a lot. But in the real world, it's nothing. A crappy launch will eat a half second up easy.

i watched that yesterday, and i thought it was a whole bunch of crap. the Sentra SE-R put a better number through the slalom test. they were not pushing the car hard enough
