EDIT: suspension WACK!!!!!

ok, this was previously a bushing question but now it is a total question about my suspension in general. I am having a bit of weird knocking sounds upon braking (like right when I step on brake) and when I'm downshifting (as in pushing in clutch and engaging it). It is definitely a knocking noise coming from the underside. maybe transmission mounts, maybe shot bushings. ANY suggestions as to where I should start?? I'm having trouble figuring out what the hell is wrong.

BTW, I've been under the hood of this car for a couple hours checking suspension and mounts here and there. I can't find anything wrong. No rub marks from transmission, no leaks of any kind. although I'm getting suspicious of my rear differential bolts, they look a little loose
