Just felt I should say something, I know I'm not the only one! It seems to only be missing from posts earlier on?

I have an idea why it might be this way, but I just wanted to understand what is up?

Yup, still got it ^

Edit: Isn't there a time limit on it? So you can't edit posts from like a year ago...

Time frame was shortened (to prevent idiots from deleting posts long after the fact).

"Say what you mean, and mean what you say". No need for an edit button then. :)

Well, the edit comes in handy when you are grammatically retarded. Like me. And of course dumb enough to not proofread until after hitting "Submit".

LOL, that was before anyone had posted according to my computer screen.

I personally think time should be extended a bit longer, tho.

It's 30m. If you need longer than that, there's a Honda forum that I hear is having traffic issues. ;)

I think noobs shouldn't have any edit capabilities; it should be earned. And the duration for editing ones own posts should coincide with your amount of posts. In other words, Dattebayo you'd have unlimited range! :yesnod ... All in good humor friends. :dblthumb:

*edit* - Just checking. ;)

The fact that it needs to be addressed and limited anyways is just silly IMO. I've never seen any other site do it before.

It's about as useful as a VLAN for a hotel.

Every forum software has the function.

But yes, I agree. Considering we cater to the predominantly male 16-35 demographic, there's an occasional overabundance of retardation.

Well here's my thought: Now, you're holding onto that retardation with a deathgrip. :gotme

You did get it the way I meant it before tho.

No, I'm preventing mass edits / deletions that leave big holes in our content.

Secondarily, I'm holding people to a higher standard: Write what you mean the FIRST time, and you'll have no reason to go back and edit it later. It's not too much to ask, and anything less is an insult to the intelligence of our members.

Re-read your post before you hit "Submit". I've done it 56,960 times. ;)

Jesda chose wisely... I notified him of the upcoming events prior in a diff thread.

I am so glad he chose this thread.
