Just felt I should say something, I know I'm not the only one! It seems to only be missing from posts earlier on?

I have an idea why it might be this way, but I just wanted to understand what is up?

Time frame was shortened (to prevent idiots from deleting posts long after the fact).

The fact that it needs to be addressed and limited anyways is just silly IMO. I've never seen any other site do it before.

No, I'm preventing mass edits / deletions that leave big holes in our content.

Secondarily, I'm holding people to a higher standard: Write what you mean the FIRST time, and you'll have no reason to go back and edit it later. It's not too much to ask, and anything less is an insult to the intelligence of our members.
