Question:

I've got the ECUtalk consult cable & Software
It does data logging and I've logged a run or two, but I'm not sure what healthy data is supposed to look like.

Could anyone help me out and drop some knowledge on me??????

Should the AAC (idle Air Control Vale) be on all the time??
What should the A/F Alpha look like or what does it mean?

Air Flow - I have a Z32 Maf and to my knowledge when you hit 5.0 V you've maxed out the MAF.
In my run, it says that I've hit 4.92 but that can't be possible.
The max boost I hit was about 7 psi.

Injector - goes from 0 to about 8

Duty Cycle - Should be in percentage, I would assume.

AAC will always be open, normally 20+. at warm idle, it should be close to 20. too high and it doesnt have much room to catch stalls etc. (i would get stall on warm engine start, when that happened my warm idle AAC was 50 - adjusted idle screw to bring it to ~25 and all good).

A/F Alpha is probably ECU's self-learn based on O2 sensor feedback? so 100% = normal, more/less means its had to adjust nominal amount based on o2 feedback. maybe. ask the service manual.

duty cycle is % of time the injectors are open.

graph your AFM value (select the column then hit F12 i think), that is better than if just a single reading is 4.92, it could just be a spike or some other random thing. likewise with duty cycle (esp as duty cycle is calculation based on RPM and injector pulsewidth, and they arent 100% in sync all time)

would be more beneficial to upload the zip of the log somewhere, rather than just screenshot.

Hey,

Ok, I'm going to readjust the AAC.
Yeah the car does stall out sometimes.
I just got this new laptop and I'm not very familiar with windows 7 or Office 2010.
I'm having a bit of a problem with the graphing.
I get the graph to come up but I can't get RPM on the X axis and 1-5 voltage on the Y axis.

I've just posted the excel sheet of the logs on google docs.

yeah you've got some weird oscillation of rpm before almost stalling, although AAC

is you're battery good? you can see its voltage dipping around points 500-700 in first one where rpm is dropping low, not sure if its causing the drop, or its dropping due to rpm falling though.

the ecu is tuned for the Z32 maf right?

something is up with your throttle voltage in second graph? goes to 0v heaps, rather than 0.44v or whatever

The battery might be a little low because I haven't driven the car very long and started it many times.
I'll charge it up tomorrow.

Yeah the RB20 ECU is chipped for the Z32 maf.
But... I do have a SAFC and I adjusted it for the Z32 MAF.

Since the ecu is chipped, should I adjust it to read as the RB20 maf or the Z32 maf?

Yeah your right, I didn't notice that.
It should be reading .44 closed and 4.12 open
Maybe my TPS sensor is going.
I have a spare I can change to.

if the rb20 ecu is chipped for z32 maf, why do u need to adjust the SAFC for it?
