Does anyone have a wiring diagram or informaton for the wiring FROM the ECU. I have been to http://sr20.hybrids.jp/install....html and gotten all of that information, however I need to check the connections from the ECU. I have used the S14 FSM but I can't find all the info in there. The reason I am looking for this wiring info is to try and find out why my speedometer and tachometer still do not work. I have a redtop into a 97 240 chassis. Thanks in advance.

http://sr20det.nismo.org/srtech.htm This gives you the pin-outs from the ECU, wire colors, and what they are. You won't find a S13 SR20DET schematic anywhere, if you do let me know.

It sounds like you need to trace the speed sensor wires for the speedometer. The way I understand it the signal goes from speed sensor to speedometer, to ECU. So if your speedo isn't working the signal isn't getting there. I'd suspect the connector below the fuse box in the engine bay. Which lower engine harness did you use? If you used teh SR harness you might need to change teh position iof some of teh wires in the plugs there. Not sure I usually use the KA lower harness.

Why you tach isn't working.... well you'll need to have the correct wire yellw/red pin#2 SR ECU connected to the correct wire on that big S14 dash plug (probably also yellow/red, but I don't have teh schematics now).

If you have any specific questions I might be able to help you out, hopefully this has given you something to work with.

Well something funny happened today when I went to drive the car. I cut the VSS wire coming from the instrument cluster plug, I cut it after the plug before the F3 plug. I was testing each side of the wire to see if a voltage was passing through. Well today when I started the car the tach was working, which totally confused me. I went back inside and about 3 minutes later went to drive the car and the tach was again not working. During the ~10 min drive the tach fluttered violently once, going from 0 to 7k rpms for about 45 seconds-1 min, then it didn't work at all. Very strange.

The wires for the speedo are in the lower harness and the tack wire is yellow, with red stripe in the engine body harness connector by the computer...

I had heard that you can use the stock KA transmission harness with the SR transmission to ease your gauge cluster wiring issues...

Gauge cluster wiring has nothing to do with the transmission harness. All applicable wires come from teh engine harness... sure some connect to it from the transmission harness, but provided the pins at the connection plus are correct then this shouldn't be a problem...

Mind you I feel this probably is the problem.. I suggested a few messages ago that he check these connector plugs... then check the wires from VSS right through to dash plug, and dash plug through to dash cluster.
