If it's bragging rights you're going after, the ecu won't really be worthwhile. If you're gonna be hard (not just in a straight line). Then the ecu would be a good thing to change. The ecu not only raises top-end hp, but the throttle response will be more crisp, and it'll feel more like a sports car instead of your mom's car. That's not to say that $600 is a bargain, but I would definately suggest it especially if you're changing out the cams. Sicne it costs $100 (I think) to reprogram the ecu, I'd say get the cams first, then get the ecu.
