Hey guys MY timing is reading 8 BTDC on my laptop using ecu-talk and nissan tech software, now granted she runs like a scalded ape but im thinking that running the car lean right...i have read elsewhere on here where some people have their distrubuter truned all the way to the left. my car runs like s*** there. and even then it only reads 13 on the pc...the guy that built the motor did put it on a timing light and set it to 20 and it used to read 20 with the ac on but not any more...now I did adjust the air idel contorl screw on the back of the intake mani...because it was having a funky idle. so i brought my idel up to around 900 rpm...thanks for reading and your input...

ok i unhooked the tps, adjusted the idle screw to have it idle at 650, Timed it to 20 BTDC turned the car off hook the tps back up and it idles at 750 with the timing showing 18 BTDC...funny part was the it ran better the other way..when the idle screw was set to like 900 and the Timing at 8 with the tps hooked up...so was my later setting running the car really lean or what?

ok guys one more thing I noticed, when i turn my distributor clockwise my BTDC number goes down, does this seem right since im advanceing the timing or is something off like the distributor is off 180 or maybe the lower chain is off...or does this seem right to you guys...right now my distributor is actually set almost dead in the middle i can go equal distance both ways..thanks again for the input..and as far as the idle screw its turned almost all the way in to the stoping point to hit 650 with the tps unhooked. does this seem right...
