is a tuned ECU really needed to run lower boost levels...say 4-7 psi? or is it a waste of money at those levels?

waste of time and money, an SAFC can tune just fine at those levels, and even a bit higher, especially when used with msd btm or the like.

what's a good brand of SAFC? how much do they run?

Apex'i makes the SAFC, you can pick one up used for 150-200.

im running a safc and msd btm setup right now at 13psi. with some 50# injectors im sure i could go up to 15psi without a problem. i currently have sr s15 480cc injectors
