is it worth buying an ecu and headers with a new exhaust. i got a 2001 max

It'd be a waste of money. You're not changing fuel maps. All you're doing is getting rid of the rstrictive stock exhaust.

On the 01, headers don't give you that big of va bang for your buck. A Y-pipe is the biggest bang for your buck on the 3.0l engine.

Reflashing the ECU can give you a few extra HP, but probably not worth the $$$.

Headers are too expensive and way too hard to put in, for what you get out of them.
