I'm in the market to get my ecu chipped. I just don't know who I'm going to go with. Any recommendations.

what are you referring to when you say, "chipped?"

check out hybridka.com, run by member deviouska. i'd say he has the best info out there for tuning ka motors.

what kind of other modifications have you made to your car that would benefit from this?

well if your car is stock just advance your timing a couple and run 93....

you could gain a few with a tuned rom but without other "breathing mods"(mainly exhaust) your wasting time......

if you plan to DIY you NEED a wideband o2 sens./monitor

even with all the gains I felt I have made with romtune, they are nothing compared to the 4psi I'm about to cram in the motor. Boost is the best gain for ka, or nos judging by comments on this forum. In short force feed it if your looking for REAL power gains.

oh and quit looking toeghey for romtunes people FFS

I have cold air intake, header, down pipe and a high flow cat. I bought one of those venom 400 things but didn't install it because I read some bad things about it. Put it this way I'm buying something for my car I just can't make up my mind

thats the worst way to spend your money.

neverlift is right, you should really consider saving for a decent turbo setup or experimenting with a supercharger. that is really the most practical way to make any decent performance gain out of a KA.

or you can continue doing what you are now and wasting your money a little at a time and ultimately become one of those members who complains about their car never being fast enough, selling it and making the mistake of buying a v6 mustang or a civic.

seeing that I dont mind

I'm with vin man had to of been a mistake with the dyno worker. or your timing. and the curve the ecu was trying to put to the cams you had in.... You said the dyno op added fuel across the board, maybe you went really lean on the 232 cams, when my rc car runs out of fuel it gains 95ratwheelpower. My old sohc loved the lean rom tunes as well, just for a real listic(lol) comp.
