I'm so frustrated, the car is finished and ready to drive, and I had it running right once or twice, then the battery died. Now, every time I hook up the car battery, the ecu just starts blinking its LED on and off constantly. I can't go into diagnostics mode or anything, it just blinks like it is in the limphome mode or something.

It runs, but with horrible timing and it's very rich too. I have unhooked battery overnight, pushed brake pedal..etc. Nothing clears the code, so is my ecu bad or is it a bad ground?

I was thinking maybe it was something to do with my constant or switched power to the ecu?

Any idea, like the stock security system, a bad ground, or anything that could be causing this would be much appreciated. I wish I had a totally stock ecu to try on the car, but I don't, so for now I have my eprom programmer hooked up and it can reprogram, but it's just stuck with the check engine light flashing on and off and running crappy.

As far as programming, I just loaded the rb20det engine config file, told it I had the z32 maf, and I uploaded it. It worked ok for the first couple times I did it, but now it just keeps blinking and it's driving me crazy because I wanna drive the thing!

Have you tried contacting eprom to see if they can troubleshoot it?

lol...eprom stands for eraseable programmable read only memory..it's a chip in the ecu that stores all of the fuel and timing info ;)
