Ok, here we go...

I did a ka-e to ka-de swap.

I have a 94.5 motor (irrelevant)

I sourced every part for the swap.

I wired everything correctly. (As far as I can tell)

The problem:

The "EGI" relay buzzes

So I swapped it with the other green relay (Fuel Pump)

Then both buzzed in unison. (Whatever)

I put the fuel pump relay back (which didnt make a noise in the first place till swapped.), then i tried to start the car....smoke smokety smoke smoke smoke !!!!!!

Now idk what ****ing pin this **** is on but the resistor or cap (idk) exploded? "q456"

Someone help me figure this ****ing **** out, cause I had no ****ing problems with the stock **** on my car when I just had the ka-e....

If you haven't done a sohc to dohc, don't ****ing bother :/

If you feel the urge to call, 336-926-0641.....help will be very appreciated.

I think someone needs to take a step back and take a breath. You have come to the right place though.

Ok, step back and relax for a few minutes. This is going to take awhile to fix.

What you blew out was a transsitor Capacitors are the "C" numbers and Resistors are the "R" numbers. "Q" usually refers to transistors and or intigrated circuits (IC)

Unless you are WELL versed in electronics you need to replace the ECU.

You have either connected battery voltage to a signal line or grounded a voltage line.

You need to re-check EVERY wire you worked with while doing the swap. My guess is you somehow pinched a wire someplace. The buzzing relay is a good place to start.

Your other option i sto totaly replace the entire harness.

It is going to take time but get a good FSM and trace the wires. You will be able to fix it.
