240 Gen was no help, so I'm hoping the tech forum will yield something.
Ok, so after getting my ecu back from being tuned I have basically no lights at all. I have headlights and interior lights, but no dash, running, brake, turn signal, hazard, etc lights. Also, the needles do not move, so the whole thing is not getting power. Before I open up the ecu to have no clue what I'm looking at, I have a few questions.
There 3 connectors associated with the ecu/engine harness, correct? The big blue one that goes into the ecu itself (duh), the white one up near the firewall, and the brown one that is near the hvac blower motor, a little farther away from the firewall. I want to make sure I'm just not missing a plug, and since nothing is getting power it seems like it would be a plug.
2nd, there is a purple/white wire that comes out of my harness right after the blue ECU plug. It doesn't follow the rest of the harness, it goes under my dash then over to under my steering column. When I pulled my harness I didn't see this wire so I just pulled it out, I didn't get to mark or see where it came from. I'm thinking it has to do with the rat's nest of wires that is under my steering column, because the previous owner had a viper alarm system installed as well as some ghetto rigged sleepy eye controllers. I can ask a friend to go snap a pic of it since I'm not with my car, but does anyone know what it could be?
Also, i searched, and nothing was found. All the other problems were related to the dash light control module, but I have no lights at all. Also, this forum gets more traffic than the electrical/car audio forum, so that's why it's here.
PS...popup motors don't work either. Engine runs so everything associated with that works, including fuel pump.
Thanks
-Chris
