So besides JWT... does anyone here know of a person or another company that would be able to retune my ecu to match a stock ca18det ecu? well and add on the ability to read a Z32 maf.my apexi afc2 works good, but it just cant compensate enough once full boost comes on. Looking for a decent price, with HOPEFULLY a resonable time frame.

I dont need anyone saying 'i told you so' or anything like that though, it was basicly a test to see how far it would get me. Which is pretty far, just not faster then 5 or 6psi.

Also, i may be in the market for a new turbo or turbo rebuild kit for my T25, its pooping lotsa blue smoke recently. What are the chances a large puddle (LARGE!) could ruin my turbo?

Thanks for reading.

there are plenty of guides floating around the internet about tuning and whatnot, the CA18det ecu is just a chip, all you need is to unsolder the chip, install a socket, get a programmer for like 40$ and the chips are around 5-10$, a socket is around 5$. if you just want a stock map with z32 maf, thats easy, things like maf, and injector changes are easy.

so who is gonna step up to the plate and be the "NICO ca18det resident ecu tuner" ? A few mention starting down the path, but never hear anything more on the matter.I recall when Jez started out way back on sxoc UK forums.Dr. Drift seem like a popular choice on aussie forums. There are others also mind you.Anybody here having any success tuning the ca ecu ?

Are you using bigger injectors with a z32 afm and a safc.Remember, a bigger AFM will make you run leaner.Bigger injectors run u richer.Sometimes to the point where they'll actually run well together without a safc. In that case, correction from the safc would be minimal and not skew your timing hardly.

Rafi (pulsar gtr) can do it. I made my own at school, but since school doesn't start up again til August, I can't do anything til then.

c-rad ddi you put your socket in your ecu yourself?im looking for someone thats knows what they are doing to do it.i already had one done and it dosent work.

with the socket ecu in it doesnt let the fuel pump turn off and it makes a relay in the fuse box click on and off.with the new chip and the factory chip.thats why i say it has to be the ecu.so i had a spare ecu and i tryed it and it works fine.

No, I had a local DSM guy do it (www.jestrtuning.com). When the person did yours, did they put the stock chip back in it?

LOL, well, its a one man operation - John Estrada. You can send me pics, but the job he did was very clean. You can't even tell the original chip was soldered in place.

who ever installed your socket is dumb, you dont drill the solder out, you use an iron to heat up the solder then use a solder sucker to suck out the molten solder. i would agree he ****ed sumthin up. he prolly screwed it up when he pushed the drill into the board, without it being supported you can screw stuff up bending the board.

I could probably do it for ya, I've done a few chipping of CA ecus, all of the CA ecu that I installed sockets for had like super glue on the chip to keep it in place, makes it a tad more difficult but no biggie.

I work with PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) almost everyday.

Yea experience isnt everything I know lots of people who have SOOO much experience yet dont have a clue as to what they are doing, you need knowledge and common sense.
